Latest Crime Report Shows Gloucester City Police Were Busy

GLOUCESTER CITY N.J. (AUGUST 31, 2016)--The Gloucester City Police Department recent crime report for the period of August 24 to August 30 revealed that officers conducted 99 traffic stops and 306 property/business checks. Officers made 15 arrests, investigated 9 motor vehicle crashes, 11 domestic disputes and impounded 3 abandoned vehicles. Officers issued 30 criminal charges and 52 traffic citations.
Noted arrests and investigations include:
August 24th. (5:30 pm)Amanda F. Vansickel (30), a resident of Marlton, was arrested on Broadway at Hudson Street for engaging in prostitution after she approached a Gloucester City Police detective sitting in an unmarked police vehicle. She offered to engage in sexual intercourse with him in exchange for twenty dollars. She was later released.
August 25th. (7:31 pm)A traffic stop on Rt. 130 at Market Street resulted in the arrest of the driver, Joseph M. Stranahan (24), a resident of Bellmawr. Mr. Stanahan was arrested on outstanding warrants and was additionally charged with possession of CDS (crack cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.
August 26th. (6:47 am)David A. Hamilton (37), a resident of Mt. Holly, was arrested on outstanding warrants in the parking lot of the Budget Inn on Rt. 130. He was later released on bail.
August 26th. (9:11 am)A traffic stop on Broadway at Essex Street resulted in the arrest of the driver, Cory L. Marshall (30), a resident of Philadelphia. He was arrested on outstanding warrants and additionally charged with possession of CDS (marijuana) and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.
August 26th. (8:17 pm)A traffic stop on Broadway at Morris Street resulted in the arrest of a passenger, Tiffany L. Tredway (28), a resident of Sicklerville. She was arrested on outstanding warrants and was additionally charged with possession of CDS (cocaine and heroin) and possession of a hypodermic syringe. She was later remanded to Camden County Jail after failing to post bail.
August 28th. (10:15 am)A resident of the unit block of S. Burlington Street reported sometime overnight, her bicycle was stolen from her rear yard. The investigation is ongoing.
August 30th. (9:46 pm)Charles P. Demore Sr. (37), a resident of the 400 block of Market Street, was arrested on Hudson Street at N. Burlington Street for disorderly conduct. He was later released.
