Car Burglar Arrested Thanks to Alert Resident

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP N.J. --On 07/26/2016 at approximately 1:59 am, the Gloucester Township Police were conducting enhanced patrol operations in Glendora when police communications received a call from a resident that a male was inside of a vehicle attempting to take items. Additional information received was that the male was reportedly wearing a lighter colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and white shorts.The male then exited the vehicle and got into a dark colored vehicle and was fleeing from the area.
As police units arrived on scene and confirmed that a vehicle burglary had occurred. An additional responding officer located a vehicle fitting the description of the fleeing vehicle. The officer followed the vehicle into Deptford were he was able to safely conduct a motor vehicle stop. As the officer approached the vehicle he oberved that the male passenger fit the description of the subject that was reported burglarizing the vehicle.
Through investigation it was determined that this was the same vehicle and occupants seen fleeing the scene.
All occupants were placed detained and transported to police headquarters for further investigation.
Arrest: Christopher Sisto- Age 19
35 Cherry Circle, Blackwood
Charges: Burglary and Theft. Defendant was processed and released on a criminal summons pending a court future court date
