CAMDEN MAN INDICTED IN APRIL DOUBLE HOMICIDE

CAMDEN CITY N.J.--Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported the indictment of a Camden man in connection with a double homicide in the city that occurred in April.

A Grand Jury indicted James Peterson, 32, on two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of 50-year-old Richard Lincoln of Camden and 33-year-old Angel Martinez of Camden.

On Thursday, April 14, 2016, Camden County Police responded at approximately 9:47 a.m. to the 500 block of S. 8th Street in Camden in reference to a 911 call for a male shot. Officers located a male victim, Lincolnand a male victim, Martinezboth suffering from gunshot wounds inside the house. They both were pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:03 a.m.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
