boost, but it
wasn't enough to get past
Neumann Goretti, as the Rams lost 6-5 in seven innings at Joe Barth Field on Friday.

Giordano got on base three times in the game for the Rams. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning.

Neumann-Goretti couldn't get anything going as long as Angelo DeAngeliswas on the mound.

DeAngelis held Neumann Goretti hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Eric Grafton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out none.

Neumann Goretti never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Mcgehigan and an RBI single by Healy.

Neumann Goretti added four more runs in the top of the second. Verratti started the inning with a single, bringing home Testa. That was followed up by Eiser's single, plating Verratti.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the third, the Rams faced just a 6-2 deficit. A walk by Chris Turco and a fielder's choice gave the Rams life. The Rams threat came to an end when Pritchett finally got Nick Seccia to strike out.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the sixth, the Rams faced just a 6-4 deficit. A groundout by Mark Kearney and an RBI double by Giordano sparked the Rams' rally. But, Lafiora got Alex Persichetti to fly out to end the inning.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, the Rams faced just a 6-5 deficit. A groundout by  Tyler Mondile fueled the Rams' comeback. Neumann Goretti's Healy induced a Nick Seccia ground out to close things out.

The Rams record is now 6-1.
