MOUNT HOLLY, NJ - Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Willingboro Township Public Safety Director Gregory Rucker today asked any members of the public who have information about a fatal shooting on Woodhaven Lane in Willingboro earlier this month to contact investigators as they continue to search for the killer.
On April 15, the Willingboro Township Police Department received a call at approximately 3:15 a.m. reporting that shots were fired in that area. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car parked on the street in the first block of Woodhaven Lane.
The victim was identified as Colby Rodgers, age 31, of Mount Laurel, and was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was declared a homicide by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood.
“Law abiding members of the public do not want a murderer skulking through their neighborhoods,” Prosecutor Bernardi said. “Somebody out there has information that can help us take this killer off the streets. Please work with us to make sure justice is served.”
The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Willingboro Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to call the Willingboro Township Police Department tip line at (609) 877-6958 or Burlington County Central Communications at (609) 267-8300.
