Inspira Health Network, more widely known in our area as the owners of Woodbury's Underwood Hospital, has purchased 30 acres of land in Deptford NJ. The undeveloped parcel is located on Clements Bridge Road, across from the shopping center that used to house the Pathmark Supermarket.
The transaction closed in January 2016, and the buying company was listed as "Inspira Deptford Healthpark LLC", with an address matching the Inspira Corporate office in Mullica Hill.
The larger undeveloped area has been more widely known as the location of the long planned (and delayed) Deptford Movies. The reality is, the large undeveloped plot is actually 2 properties of 23 and 30 acres. The Movie theater property is on the right side directly across from Rastelli's Market, where as the newly purchased Inspira property is located on the left; more directly across from the Pathmark Shopping center, and going up to the traffic light which shares corners with TD Bank and the Deptford Rehab Center.
This aligns with prior reports that a part of the delay with the development of the movie theater, was that there was a medical company looking at purchasing the (movie theater) property. Possible it means that Inspira purchased the property next to the movie property instead.
