Gloucester Catholic Scores 9 Runs in the Fourth; Rams 12-Pitman 1 (CNBNewsnet)

(CNBNEWSnet)BROOKLAWN N.J. --Gloucester Catholic played a make-up game today, Monday against Pitman at the Joe Barth Field, Browning Road. A nine-run explosion in the fourth inning hoisted the Rams to a 12-1 win in five innings over Pitman.
The Rams scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Zach VanMeter, an RBI single by Evan Giordano, a hit by pitch, a walk by Alex Krug, an a RBI single by Chris Turco.
Lillo Paxia boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Rams. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Eric Grafton got the win for the Rams. He allowed one run over four innings. Grafton struck out four, walked one and gave up four hits.
The Rams increased their lead with two runs in the fifth. Chris Turco's single got things going, bringing home Mark Kearney and Angelo DeAngelis. That was followed up by Chris Turco's single, plating Kearney and DeAngelis.
Gloucester Catholic faces Gloucester High on Tuesday at Gloucester High. First pitch 4PM.
