Pine Hill Police Physical Training Instructors Join Overbrook High School Athlete for a Workout

On March 23, 2016, Pine Hill Police PT Instructors and SRO DiGiacomo joined the OHS spring sports for the bi-annual joint workout.  Baseball, Softball, Tennis, and Track & Field student-athletes joined officers in three groups during the “baseball workout”, consisting of flutter-kicks, squats, burpees and push-ups all separated by a 90ft sprint.  The OHS Boys Baseball completed eight cycles in fifteen minutes, performing the exercises as a motivated group! Congratulations to all of the student-athletes who gave 100% during the workout, we look forward to joining you in the future.

The purpose of the joint-workout is to bring the students and officers together in a fun, motivated atmosphere, where the officers are a role-model figure, promoting healthy life choices.  The group physical training session enables officers to interact in a non-law enforcement setting, greatly increasing the establishment of a trusting role-model relationship.
