Background:
Macom started as a successful trader on Wall Street. He has practiced law in New Jersey and Ohio for
23- years and was the youngest judge ever appointed to the bench in the state of Ohio. He is fluent in Russian as well as a member of the National Ski Patrol, and a Volunteer Firefighter. In the culinary world, he is a well known and respected amateur chef. Former host for seven years of an extremely entertaining and high energy radio program for Longport Media on the wildly popular “Fire and Ice” show every Sunday from 5-7 PM at www.wondradio.com or in South Jersey on 1400AM. He was mentioned by examiner.com as one of the radio's most entertaining rising stars and he has written three books with his most recent one “Devil Leeds” about the Jersey Devil available at Barnes and Noble.
Timm is owner/operator of the popular blog Bluejeanfood. He loves to eat, travel, and try new restaurants. He works hard and he gets his hands dirty, yet, his tastes are sophisticated as a result of his palate being cultured extensively in six continents. He likes bold flavors and appreciates subtlety. Being a barbeque connoisseur, he has earned the esteemed credential of being a CBJ (Certified Barbeque Judge) from the Kansas City Barbeque Society and has been honored by them with a lifetime membership to this elite culinary group.
He was a full-time contributing writer for Ed Hitzel Enterprises, Communications, Media and Marketing and weekly on-air talent for award-winning radio broadcast “Table for One” syndicated on 610AM Philadelphia, 1400AM Atlantic City, 1240AM Millville and has appeared on many other radio programs as host, co-host, guest-host, and special guest. Derek is a freelance writer, actor, producer, executive producer and has been in numerous movies, television series, and web programs. He has also performed stand-up comedy numerous times live on stage. Derek was spotlighted on “The IT Factor” program and website which considers themselves the “authority” featuring young hot celebrities who the fashion world should pay attention to. Last but not least, he has professionally judged dozens of food events, provided culinary consulting to restaurants and created public relations, promotions, and marketing plans for many clients.
