Gloucester City Police Department Crime Report February 20 through February 25

GLOUCESTER CITY N.J. (February 26, 2016)On 02/20 at 0158 hours a resident of the 200 block of Warren Street called police to report that she awoke to an unknown black male standing in her bedroom going through her safe. When the victim screamed, the male fled the area and was unable to be located. The victim was missing money from her residence.
On 02/20 at 0941 officers responded to a report of a suspicious male at Brown and Mercer Streets. They located a male in the area who advised officers people are just jealous of his talents and he was “just doing his music.” The male was told to leave the area.
On 02/20 at 2336 a resident of the 200 block of S. Johnson Blvd called police to remove an unwanted person from the residence. The male walked into the victim’s residence and went to sleep on the dining room floor. The suspect was heavily intoxicated and had no idea how he ended up where he was. Michael Sharp (32) of the 100 block of N. Brown Street was arrested and charged with Trespassing.
On 02/21 at 0914 Liberty Tax on S. Broadway reported that unknown suspect(s) broke a front window to the business.
On 02/21 at 1424 officers responded to the Dollar General on S. Broadway for a report of a male using narcotics behind the business. Officers located the male who had just smoked crack cocaine prior to their arrival. Robert Malinowski (39) of Egg Harbor was found to be in possession of 2 crack pipes. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On 02/22 at 0915 an officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Quality Inn. As he approached he observed the female occupant stuffing narcotics into her shirt. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was found to be in possession of 6 bags of crack cocaine and 5 bags of heroin. Jillian Kirksey (34) of Sicklerville was charged with 2 counts of Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On 02/22 at 1435 a motor vehicle stop on Nicholson and Yale led to the arrest of Conrad Traenker (49) of the 500 block of Middlesex Street. He was found to be in possession of 1 bag of heroin and was charged accordingly.
On 02/22 at 2353 officers responded to the Budget Inn for a report of a female being chased. The victim stated that she was picked up for a “date” and the two ended up in the parking lot of Universal Supply on Route 130. The female advised officers that her “date” removed a hammer from the back seat and went to strike her with it before she was able to flee and run across Route 130. The suspect was unable to be located and the victim refused further cooperation.
On 02/23 at 0111 a motor vehicle accident on Route 130 north led to the arrest of Catherine Fleitz (25) of Somerdale. She was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples and Reckless Driving.
On 02/23 at 0942 a resident of Cornell Ave reported that at 0615 hours she observed a male in the woods behind her residence. Officers searched the area, but no one was located.
On 02/24 at 0811 a resident of the 800 block of Powell Street reported that over the last few months unknown suspect(s) have damaged the siding to his residence and left a threatening note in his mailbox. There are no known suspects at this time.
On 02/25 at 1720 a resident of Gloucester Towne reported that unknown suspect(s) stole her purse from her apartment while she was unloading groceries from her vehicle.
Additionally, officers responded to 30 domestic violence incidents, 16 motor vehicle accidents, conducted 51 motor vehicle stops and made 18 arrests.
