Staged and filmed before a live audience and featuring a talented, veteran Broadway cast, breathtaking music builds bridges across a diversity of religious expressions and sensibilities. The production offers audiences the chance to see, feel, and hear real peoples’ experiences of this touchstone story of Western Civilization in a fresh and moving way.
The music, libretto and lyrics are by Tony Award-winning Broadway producer John O’Boyle.
- The cast includes Broadway veterans from Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, Porgy and Bess, Phantom of The Opera and more.
- A high-level, interfaith panel event featuring leading thinkers and theologians from the three great monotheistic faiths discussing the history of Passion plays and the current state of interfaith relations follows the production.
- The panel will be taped at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture and feature Gabriel Award-winning co-hosts David DiCerto and Steven Greydanus of the cable television show "Reel Faith" as discussion moderators. Greydanus is also film critic for Catholic Digest.
