Gloucester Township PD: School Bus Crash Leaves 12 With Minor Injuries On Sicklerville Road

 

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP N.J.--On 01/29/2016 at 7:45 AM, the Gloucester Township Police responded to a report of a Gloucester Township School Bus transporting children to the Ann Mullen Middle School that was involved in a motor vehicle crash.

The striking vehicle, operated by a 25 year old male and occupied by 2 and 4 year old children, were all transported to a local hospital for minor injuries at this time. The driver of the school bus was reportedly slowing and had activated her yellow lights when the crash occurred.

The Gloucester Township Bus was occupied by 30 children of which 12 children were transported to area hospitals by an EMS strike team comprised of BLS from Gloucester Township, Pine Hill, Winslow, Berlin Lindenwold and Stratford, for minor injuries. Also assisting at the scene was Erial and Lambs Terrace Fire Departments. School officials also responded and were making notifications to parents or family.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
