Rider University Broncs First Pitch Dinner Snowed Out

Rescheduled for January 30

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Even Mother Nature had to get in on the roast.

Knowing how much rain outs, especially snow outs, used to hinder the mood of legendary Rider University baseball coach Sonny Pittaro, Mother Nature got in the first insult and postponed the eighth annual Rider University Baseball First Pitch Dinner.

The Dinner, which will honor Hall of Fame head coaches Tom Petroff, Pittaro and current head coach Barry Davis and the 2016 Broncs, will now take place Saturday, January 30.

At this year’s First Pitch Dinner several former players and coaches will roast Pittaro, who won 766 games in his 34 years at Rider, winning 10 Coach of the Year awards, nine conference championships and took part in eight NCAA Tournaments.

All other information about the First Pitch Dinner remains the same. It takes place in the Cavalla Room in the Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville campus. Cocktails 6 to 7pm, Dinner at 7pm. $75 per person (open bar 6 to 8pm, cash bar after 8pm).
