A new study shows that it is possible to use an imaging technique called cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to view, in atomic detail, the binding of a potential small molecule drug to a key protein in cancer cells. The Navy will christen its newest Freedom variant littoral combat ship, USS Sioux City (LCS 11), during a 10 a.m. CST ceremony Saturday, Jan. 30 in Marinette, Wisconsin. Sioux City, designated LCS 11, honors the city of Sioux City, Iowa. Adm. Michelle Howard, vice chief of Naval Operations, will serve as principal speaker. Mary Winnefeld, wife of retired Adm. PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard and partner agencies continue to respond to a diesel fuel spill Thursday in the Schuylkill River near the 2400 block of Market Street in Philadelphia. On-scene cleanup crews have recovered 1,200 gallons of diesel fuel from the river. Equipment being used includes two vacuum trucks, two oil skimmers, 1,800 feet of oil absorbent boom and a 42-foot boat, which deployed 1,500 feet of oil containment boom. “We continue to work together as a unified command,” said Capt.
