GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (CNBNewsnet)--Mr. Stanley M. Booth, of Cocoa, Florida died on Friday, October 30, 2015, at the age of 74. Mr. Booth, who was born in Gloucester City, was a former resident of Barrington. He graduated from Gloucester City High School, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He received his Bachelor Degree in Math from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University).
He was a dedicated teacher for 35 years at Gloucester City High School where he was Senior Class Advisor, National Honor Society Advisor, Math Club Advisor, Sound and Lighting Technician for School Musicals for 25 years, coached football for 12 years, coached bowling for 23 years and taught adult night school.
Professionally, Stanley was a member of the Gloucester City Teacher’s Association, Camden County Education Association, New Jersey Teacher’s Association, National Education Association, National Association of Math Teachers, N.J.S.I.A.A. Official, Rowan University Alumni Association.
Stanley loved to travel especially cruises with his family. He was president of Courtyards Condo Association in Cocoa, Florida for the past 15 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jacqueline T. “Jackie” Booth (nee Wolf). Beloved son of the late William J. and Mabel. Devoted father of Karen (Matthew) Macpherson. Cherished grandfather of Sean and Jimmy Macpherson. Dear Brother of Caroline Booth, Dorothy DeSimone and the late William J., Elizabeth Hudson, Bernice Hudson. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Ann Meloni (Louis), Anne Booth, Kenneth Hudson. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends, fellow teachers and alumni are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, November 5 from 9 am to 11 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine: St. Luke R.C. Church: 55 Warwick Road, Stratford. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am in the church. Inurnment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. No evening visitation and no visitation at the funeral home.
