Reports: Mysterious Man Seen on the Day Three Year-Old Brendan Creato Died /nj1015

Reports have emerged of witnesses saying the day 3-year-old Brendan Creato mysteriously went missing and died, an older man was seen with a baby carriage nearby.

It’s one of several newly reveled details in a report by, which quotes Haddon Township resident Mark Hoover saying he’d seen an older white man wheeling a baby carriage toward Cooper River Park early in the morning of Oct. 13. Brendan Creato was reported missing by his father at around 6 a.m., and found dead in woods along nearby South Park Drive at around 9 a.m.

The report quotes Hoover saying the white man pushing the carriage wore a yellow sweater, tan pants and eyeglasses, and appeared to be at least 60. The man was reportedly out with the stroller before sunrise, and the carriage was covered with a blanket.

The report is similar to one published Thursday by NJ Advance Media, which said it spoke to Hoover the day Brendan was found dead, but he did not provide his name at the time.

Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Andy McNeil told New Jersey 101.5 he couldn’t comment on the reports of a man with a stroller because of the ongoing investigation.

But he did briefly confirm other aspects of the report.

6 important questions about Brendan Creato's death

Brendan had reportedly been in his father’s care the night he went missing. In a 911 recording previously released by the prosecutor’s office, his father, DJ Creato, is heard saying the doors to his home were locked. While DJ Creato was reportedly questioned by authorities, no one has been charged, and officials haven’t said whether they suspect foul play. A preliminary autopsy proved inconclusive, authorities said.
