Brooklawn Police Arrest 23-Year-Old Suspect for Stealing Baby Formula from Shop Rite

BROOKLAWN NJ--On 10/28/2015 at 4:23 PM, Brooklawn Police were dispatched to the Brown's Shop Rite for the report of a male actively shoplifting in the store. Upon the arrival of the first officer, he observed the suspect physically fighting with store employees at the entrance. As the officer exited his patrol unit the suspect ran back into the store where a short foot pursuit took place prior to the suspect being tackled to the ground and taken into custody.
Through further investigation it was found the suspect attempted to walk out of the store with baby formula, which he did not pay for. As the loss prevention officer attempted to stop the suspect and escort him back to their office, he fought off their attempts.
The suspect was processed, charged, and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in default of $26,000.00 bail.

Edwin C. Wallace 4th, 23 years of age of the unit block of Penn Rd. in Voorhees Township, NJ
Charges:
Robbery by force - 2nd degree
Resisting arrest by flight - 4th degree
Theft - Disorderly persons offense
All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law."
