CNB Crime: 2nd Camden Homicide in 24-Hours

CAMDEN CITY NJ (September 28, 2015)--Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson Imagesreported a man shot in the city Sunday night has died this morning.

Camden County Police were dispatched at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday to 28th Street and Pierce Avenue in Camden for a report of a male shot.

Officers arrived and located the victim, Jose Franco, 34, of Camden, lying in the street.  He was transported to Cooper University Hospital.  He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 5:45 a.m. today.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

Early Sunday morning Camden County Police were dispatched at approximately 12:11 a.m. to the Ablett Village apartment complex in Camden for a report of a male shot. Officers arrived and located the victim, David Lorenzo, 30, of Camden, lying on the floor inside his residence. He was pronounced dead via telemetry at 12:22 a.m.
