A Rahway International Film Festival special guest will be Raymond Rolak, one of the producers of GET A JOB, a full feature comedy from Hawaii. He will be presenting an enrichment workshop on Saturday, August 29th in the Fazioli Room of the Union County Performing Arts Center at 1:30 p.m. It is an added value showcase as the soundtrack contains 24 original songs, mostly performed by the Barefoot Natives, Willie K and Eric Gilliom.

Serendipitously, Gilliom was one of the basketball players in the MGM classic, HOOSIERS, released in 1986. The Indian Pacers of the NBA announced that they will be selecting special games next season to celebrate the 30th anniversary of HOOSIERS, which received two academy awards.

"28 MINUTE EPIC", a comedy, will kick off the festival as a premier on Friday, August 28th preceded by a reception for filmmakers and guests, 6:30-10:30 p.m. Producer Rocco Petrullo and film score producer Manny David, a New Jersey native son, will be in attendance. Furthermore, cinematographer, Danny O’Halloran will conduct a post showing Q & A.

The music video, ONLY WANNA PARTY will also be a world film festival premier and features not only the Barefoot Natives but Mick Fleetwood, Pat Simmons, Willie Nelson and Jake Shimabukuro.

Rolak will be available for a Q & A afterwards and will enlighten how director Brian Kohne wove the youth oriented music soundtrack, (YOM), into their laugh-out-loud transmedia comedic projects.!seminars/c1vo1

Added Rodriguez, “Emerging and seasoned filmmakers as well as actors have the unique opportunity to network and learn from one another during the festival’s opening and closing nights parties, networking events, and a variety of festival seminars and panels.”
