Catherine C. Shellenberger, Longtime Brooklawn Resident Involved with Little League and Library

Catherine “Kitty” Shellenberger (nee Allen), on August 30, 2015, of Brooklawn. Age 91. 3294174_wlpp

Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Shellenberger. Devoted mother of Cathy Dennis (Michael), Barry (Joan), David, Gail Roser (William), and the late Paul. Mother-in-law of Darlene. Loving Grandmother of Michael Shellenberger, Amy Shellenberger French, Brian Whitney, Kevin Whitney, Timothy Whitney, Craig Shellenberger, and Meghan Shellenberger. Great-grandmother of Maria Qualtieri, Vincent, Giana and Marcella Whitney and Mason French.

Kitty was a 63 year resident of Brooklawn. For several years she led the Ladies Auxiliary for the Brooklawn Athletic Association while her boys played little league baseball. One of her biggest joys was planning the annual baseball banquet. She also loved helping the students as the librarian at Alice Costello School. Kitty was the happiest when she was with her family down at the Jersey Shore and in Walt Disney World in Florida.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Thursday evening and from 9:15 to 10:15am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa’s Church, Runnemede, NJ. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
