Gloucester Township Residents Displaced After Fire Heavily Damages Home

 GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ--On August 29, 2015 at 3:34 PM, Gloucester Township Police Officers and Fire Personnel from the Erial Fire Department were called to the 2100 block of Garwood Road on a report of a house fire. Officers and firefighters arrived on location and found heavy smoke coming from a residence.

At the time of the incident, the residents were not on location but a dog that was inside of the house was removed by a neighbor. The dog sustained an injury and was treated by a local Veterinary center. There were no injuries to any emergency personnel. Garwood Road was closed for approximately four hours.

Emergency responders from Erial Fire Department, Lambs Terrace Fire Department, Chews Landing Fire Department, Blackwood Fire Department, Pine Hill Fire Department, Lindenwold Fire Department, Winslow Fire Department, and Gloucester Township EMS were on scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Erial Fire Departments Fire Marshals Office.
