GLOUCESTER CITY-The EPA and Army Corps of Engineers are building a temporary football practice field and a temporary Tee-ball field at the Johnson Blvd. Jogging Track, Klemm Avenue side, so that the hazardous waste from some of the playing fields at the north end of Johnson Blvd. can be removed. The temporary fields will be used during the 2010/2011 seasons. The approximate cost for the fields is $50,000.
Today (Wednesday, Dec. 2) several truck loads of sod were unloaded and placed on the fields..

Good. Beats not having any fields at all for the kids to play on. Just wish they could have thrown in a few more bucks and leveled and fixed the whole jogging track complex while they are doing it.
