Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Haddonfield Police Chief Ted Stuessy announced a man has been arrested for an armed robbery and a carjacking in Haddonfield.

Donald C. Hart, 27, a semi-professional wrestler from Mantua and Palmyra, is accused of robbing the Rite Aid on the 700 block of Haddon Avenue at gunpoint around 12:10 p.m. on June 16, 2015. He then allegedly carjacked a priest in the pharmacy’s parking lot and drove to the 100 block of Marne Avenue before fleeing in a different vehicle he had parked there earlier.

Detectives processed the vehicle and recovered physical evidence that was submitted to the New Jersey State Police forensic lab. The lab’s Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) returned a positive match for Hart.

Hart was arrested around 3 p.m. on Tuesday at a convenience store at Mercer Street and Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill. He was charged with robbery, carjacking, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $315,000 bail.

“The investigation done by my office’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Investigation units and Haddonfield Police was thorough and relentless,” Prosecutor Colalillo said. “The arrest of this suspect was only made possible through the exhaustive efforts of these fine detectives.”

Detectives believe Hart may be the same suspect who previously robbed a Rite Aid in Logan Township and a CVS in Woolwich Township. Charges have not yet been filed in the Gloucester County incidents.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Released Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
