Monica Schaffer Sentenced to 4 Year Prison Term for Stealing Over $400,000 from her Employer

Cape May Court House, New Jersey - Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announces the sentencing of Monica Schaffer, 53 year old female, of Somers Point, New Jersey for theft in excess of $400,000.00 from her employer, Avalon Honda. 

As a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Financial Crimes Unit, Schaffer plead guilty to second degree theft on May 29, 2015. 

On July 17, 2015, Monica Schaffer was sentenced by the Honorable John Porto, JSC to a term of imprisonment of four years in the New Jersey State Prison, and was ordered to make restitution to the victim totaling over $422,000. 

Prosecutor Taylor recognizes the efforts of the agencies involved which resulted in the successful conclusion of this investigation.
