Gloucester Township PD Looking for Residents to Partake in National Night Out
Saturday, July 11, 2015
The Gloucester Township Police Department is still looking for residents who want to get involved in their community and participate in National Night Out. It does not have to be a big gathering. There are several weeks left to join the fun and build a stronger partnership with our community. If you have any questions regarding National Night Out or want to join the fun, you may call our Community Relations Bureau at 856-375-3513 or email Lt. Brendan Barton at [email protected].
Communities throughout Gloucester Township will be participating in the National Night Out
program joining thousands of other communities throughout the country on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 celebrating “America’s Night Out, Against Crime”. Neighbors, family, and friends will be gathering at their homes, on their streets, and at their local community centers in recognition of their support of the community. National Night Out helps strengthen community support and our police partnership with you and your neighbors. Residents and communities that participate in National Night Out send a message that they are organized and not willing to stand for criminal activity occurring in their neighborhood.
A National Night Out event in your neighborhood can consist of just two neighbors meeting on their front lawns, an organized block party of several neighbors occurring on a closed street, or a full neighborhood event at a local community center. Whether it is just a few neighbors meeting in front of their homes or an entire community coming together, the outcome of a stronger community is the same.
