(CNBNewsnet)--Edward Joseph Simila, of Brooklawn, passed away on June 26, 2015, at the age of 73.
Mr. Simila grew up in Gloucester City, where he attended local schools. He enjoyed playing poker, and shooting darts and playing pool. Ed loved hunting and fishing and belonged to several gun clubs in the Chatsworth/Batso New Jersey area. Besides deer hunting in New Jersey, he also chased the "Grey Ghost" in the state of Maine and New York as well as Florida. He belonged to the Gloucester City Breakfast Club.
"Ed had a great sense of humor," said his friend Bill Cleary. "He was quick with a joke and had a twinkle in his eyes whenever he smiled. He enjoyed hunting, and he especially liked using a muzzleloader. He also loved to fish. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his daughter."

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, July 18 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Inurnment with his late wife, Maryann in New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. No Evening Visitation.
