CNB Archives: Lions fall short vs. Rams

CNB Archives posted Friday, November 27, 2009 6a00d8341bf7d953ef01bb07cd860f970d-800wi

The Lions were carried throughout by running back Steve Kumpf, who rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns. He scored on runs of 2 yards in the first quarter and 66 in the fourth, but his team couldn't come up with a big play late in the game.

With the help of a 27-yard run by Kumpf, Gloucester drove to the Rams' 19-yard line but ran out of downs with 41 seconds to play.

It was an emotional loss.
