New owners have taken over the ol' Spread Eagle Inn on Kings Highway Mt Ephraim, and instead of simply trying to clean up the local pub, they completely demolished the old tavern down to the basement, and they are building new. I drove by today and the building's outer shell is complete (to the extent of understanding its size and placement).
There is one more photo over at 42Freeway.com from the other side, which shows what appears to be an outside patio area with roof.
At this time we don't have any information on estimated opening.
I'm looking forward to checking out this spot when opens. Oddly, like the Krazy Kat in Deptford I never had a chance to check out the old bars before they closed which is odd considering how close I lived to both.
Also in Mt Ephraim, the Boardwalk Bar behind the McDonald's on the Black Horse Pike still sits empty and For Sale.
