Second Warning: 32 Heroin Overdoses, 3 Fatal

Camden City, NJ June 8, 2015 (CNBNews.net) – Chief J. Scott Thomson and Camden County
Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo are reporting a continuing spate of heroin overdoses in the city and are issuing a safety alert regarding the danger to drug users purchasing narcotics.

Over the previous seven days, there were at least 32 heroin overdoses in the city – including three that were fatal. Six of the overdoses occurred Sunday. Of the 32 victims, four were resuscitated through an administration of Narcan by Camden County Police Department officers.

 The Camden County Police Department, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement partners are investigating the origin of this dangerous drug. Anyone with any information regarding the manufacture, distribution or use of drugs is encouraged to immediately contact the Camden County Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (856) 757-7042.
