Cold Case Squad Investigates 2006 Camden Homicide – $1,000 Reward Offered

CAMDEN CITY NJ June 11, 2015 ( Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Camden County Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a surveillance video wanted for a cold case homicide.

The victim, 26-year-old Andres Camacho III of Camden, was shot multiple times outside of the Estevez Grocery Store located at Berwick Street and Marlton Pike in Camden the night of June 9, 2006.

The surveillance video shows the victim exit the store shortly before 9:45 p.m. and walk around the side of the building.

Moments later, the suspect can be seen walking in the same direction as the victim. The video then shows the suspect running from the area of the shooting.

The case is now being investigated by the Camden County Police Department’s Cold Case Squad, a unit comprised of investigators from the county police force and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

A $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction is available and is being administered by the Citizens Crime Commission in Philadelphia.
