CNB CRIME: Grand Jury Indicts Monica Thors on Nine Counts of Animal Cruelty

WOODBURY NJ JUNE 30, 2015-- Monica Thors (DOB 5/13/60), of Mullica Hill NJ, has been
indicted by a Gloucester County grand jury on nine counts of animal cruelty resulting from the alleged mistreatment of horses and a goat in 2013 and 2014.
The indictment returned MAY 24, 2015 contains four counts of third-degree animal cruelty (N.J.S.A. 4:22-17c (2) ) said to have resulted in the death of four horses, “specifically, by failing to provide the necessary care as directed by veterinarians to address several health issues.” The five remaining counts are fourth-degree charges that accuse Thors of causing serious bodily injury, also by failure to provide care, to four horses and a goat.
Thors is scheduled for a pre-arraignment interview in the Superior Court’s Criminal Case Management offices on JULY 8, 2015. She is represented by attorney Larye N. Radley of the Gloucester County Public Defender’s office.
