Zaffron Meditteranean Cuisine
113 E. Kings Highway,
HADDONFIELD NJ (CNBNews.net)--Although this restaurant has only be opened for a few months, my wife and I have had both lunch and dinner here on a number of occasions. Zaffron has been well-reviewed on Yelp and other dining sites. The exterior is identified by a black and white awning over the entrance.
Zaffron is located in the former location of “Animo Juice”, which moved across, and down, the street. The environment is small and cozy. With the addition of outside tables under cover, you can eat outside when it’s raining or when the sun is blazing. The owner has creatively removed the former display areas on both sides of the former entrance and created some inviting table space.
Whenever you go, you’ll find Rocky and Josephine, the owners, or their gracious daughter, on hand to greet you. A distinctive feature of Zaffron is that everything is made fresh. Nothing is frozen or fried. The service staff is pleasant and helpful.
The Roasted Red Pepper Hummus served with pita is a delicious starter. Lamb, chicken, salmon, sea bass, and shish-kabobs are among the many entree offerings. Desserts are not listed on the website, but they are excellent. If you go for dinner, you will probably meet Rocky. He’s an interesting and colorful guy who takes great pride in his restaurant and in what he serves.
Zaffron is open every day, including Mondays , from 11AM. Visit their website at: www.zaffronmediterraneancuisine.com to view the menu, to see special features, and to peruse the photo gallery of various dishes. (856) 429-2800
