Northern New Jersey has received less than half of the normal amount of rainfall over the last two months, which could soon lead to minor drought conditions. The Record says reservoir levels are currently below normal, but water utilities in Bergen and Passaic counties have yet to call for conservation efforts.
US ATTORNEY WANTS TO KEEP 1.5M PAGES OF GWB DISCOVERY FROM PUBLIC
US Attorney Paul Fishman filed a request last week calling for a protective order that would keep roughly a million and a half pages of discovery material in the George Washington Bridge case from being disclosed to the public, reports NJTV. Fishman says he wants to protect the privacy of third parties, but others say the move is ridiculous and unprecedented.

A CASINO IN THE MEADOWLANDS?
Top officials at Hard Rock International and Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment will unveil the details next week for a proposed casino in the Meaddowlands. NJ.com says the developers claim the project could generate more than $400 million in annual revenue, some of which would help fund projects like the rebuilding of Atlantic City.

We forgot to mention yesterday the death of famed mathemetician and the father of game theory, John Nash. Nash and his wife died in a car accident on the NJ Turnpike when their cab struck a guard rail and ejected them from the vehicle. Nash and his wife were not wearing their seatbelts.
