GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ MAY 19, 2015--Gloucester Township Police Department Lt. Edward "Joe" Bryant retired after serving 25 years as a Law Enforcement Officer. Lt. Bryant served as a Class I Special Law Enforcement Officer for the Gloucester Township Police Department from 1990-1992, a Camden County Sheriff’s Officer from 1992-1995, before being hired by the Gloucester Township Police Department. Lt. Bryant has served the Department honorably as a DARE Officer, a Field Training Officer, a Traffic Unit Officer, Deputy Coordinator for Emergency Management, and was promoted to Sergeant of Police on January 1, 2002, where he served as a Deputy Platoon Commander. Lt. Bryant was promoted to Lieutenant of Police on June 29, 2006 and served as the Traffic Services Bureau Commander and as a Patrol Platoon Commander.
