Coach Herb Neilio Founder of Westville Midget Football and Touchdown Club of South Jersey



Herbert James Neilio, Sr., aged 86, of Westville, NJ, passed away on May 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.


A driven and strong willed man, Herb had a heart of gold. He dedicated his life to his family and coaching football. Herb was born and raised in Westville, and graduated from Woodbury High School. When Herb wasn’t coaching football, he enjoyed dancing with his wife and tending to his gardens. He was the proud founder of the Westville Midget Football and the Touchdown Club of Southern New Jersey. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 Beloved husband of 59 years to Jean (nee Kemmer); loving father of Linda Newlin (Thomas), Herbert J. Jr. (Colleen), Jo-Ann James (Michael), Michael (Maria) and Toni Bobiak (Joe) ; cherished grandfather to KC, Brooke, Lannie, Michele, Michael, Evan, Joey, Jason and Mikaela Unknown-1and great grandfather of 8; Uncle and friend to many.

 Relatives and friends are invited to Herb’s Viewing on Sunday evening from 7 – 9PM and Monday morning from 8:45 – 9:45AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:30AM in Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret’s Church, 3rd and Beech Streets, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Herb’s name to Touchdown Club of Southern New Jersey, 205 W. Elm Street, Wenonah, NJ 08090.
