A wonderful story from Texas Country Reporter and the work being done to support our Veterans by Lori Stevens and her organization Patriot PAWS. She and her staff spend two years training each service dog at a cost of roughly $30,000 before it is placed with a Veteran at no cost to the Veteran. The Veterans aren’t the only ones who benefit though as a big part of the dogs training is conducted by prison inmates who are able to use their time to do something positive for someone else.
