Suspects Charged for Paulsboro Armed Robbery

Gloucester-TransmissionWOODBURY NJ April 25, 2015 (CNBNEWS.NET)--Anthony D. Young Jr.  (DOB 8/27/81), of Gibbstown and Christine E. Demore  (DOB 11/19/84), of Paulsboro have been charged with conspiring  with another man to commit armed robbery of  a twin brother and sister in Paulsboro on 5/18/14.

The twins,  Robert W. Springer and Jessica N. Springer (DOB 6/28/88), of Washington Township, have been charged in connection with the death of the man Young and Demore are accused of conspiring with to rob the Springers. That man, Eddie Lee Warthen 4th  (DOB 7/7/83), of Gibbstown,  was struck twice by a motor vehicle on 5/18/14 on East Madison Street in Paulsboro.  He was pronounced dead at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.

It is alleged Robert Springer was the driver of the car that struck Warthen.   He is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon (a handgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.  Jessica Springer is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering. Both remain in jail in default of bail.

Young and Demore are charged with conspiring with Warthen to commit “an overt act, specifically by participating in the robbery of Robert W. Springer and Jessica N. Springer,”  according to complaints signed against both on 4/10/15.  They are further charged with committing robbery “while being armed with a .45 cal semi-automatic handgun,”  the complaints state.

Young was released from jail after posting $150,000 bail.  Demore remains in jail. Her bail had been set at $250,000.
