Parker C. Smith Jr. Westville and DPRA Police Officer, Councilman and Volunteer Fireman

Parker C. Smith, Jr., aged 76, passed away on April 24, 2015 surrounded by his 6a00d8341bf7d953ef01bb07cf3abd970d-120wiloving family.

A quick- witted and caring family man, Parker devoted his life to his family, especially his grandchildren. He dedicated his life to proudly serving our country in the United States Marines. Parker was a lifetime member of the Westville Fire Company, worked for the Westville and Delaware River Port Authority as a police officer, and served as a Westville Councilman before his retirement. He was proud to be active in his community where he could help others. Parker will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of 42 years to Dorothy (nee Lopez); devoted father of Jean Cusack (John), and Parker Smith, III (Cheyanne); cherished grandfather to Caitlin and Patrick Cusack ; dear brother to Jean Meersand, and brother in law to Bill “Lopey” Lopez (Flo). Son-in-law to Marie Lopez and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Parker also leaves behind 6 loving grand dogs and his best friend, cocker spaniel, Chewy, and his 2 cats Sassy and Spring.

Farewell Ceremony
Relatives and friends are invited to Parker’s Visitation on Friday morning from 10am – 12:30pm, where his Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:30pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Interment private at the request of the family.
