UPDATE CHILD WAS FOUND/Statewide Amber Alert issued for Three Year Old Girl; Last Seen Sunday in New Castle, Delaware

An Amber Alert has been extended to Ohio for a little girl last seen in New Castle, Delaware, at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the suspect, who is the little girl’s father, is believed to be armed and dangerous. The suspect fled the scene in a 1989 gray Mazda 626 bearing Delaware registration 247457 after
forcefully taking the vehicle from its owner.

Elinor Trotta, three, was last seen on 800 East Basin Road in the city of New Castle. She was last seen wearing a purple puffy coat, pink pants and ‘Frozen” sneakers. She’s described as being white and weighing 60 pounds with brown hair.

The suspect, Michael Trotta, is a white male with brown hair. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and is described as being 5’8″ tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Authorities say Elinor was taken during a domestic dispute. Authorities say Trotta has family residing in the Midwest, and he may be traveling through Ohio to relatives.
