Pine Hill Police Dept Community Alert: February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
Wednesday, February 25, 2015
(CNBNews)--During the month of February, Officers from the Pine Hill Police Department teamed up with the Camden County Women’s Center & Pine Hill School District to promote healthy dating relationship decisions while raising awareness for Teen Domestic & Dating Violence in our schools and community.
Recognizing signs of a friend or family member that may be experiencing abuse;...
•You notice their partner calls them names or puts them down
•If they talk to other people, their partner gets extremely jealous
•They apologize for their partner’s behavior and make excuses
for it
•Frequently cancel plans at the last minute for reasons that
sound untrue
•You’ve seen fights escalate to breaking or hitting things.
•Their weight, appearance or grades have changed
dramatically.
•They have injuries they can’t explain or the explanations
they give don’t make sense.
Sgt. Hogan and SRO Rowello joined the Camden County Women's Center and Pine hill DVRT at Overbrook High School. Over 660 students were reached during the presentations.
