(CNBNews)GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (February 24, 2015)On March 1, 2015 Sergeant Mark Ridge #1419 will be retiring after 25 years of service with the Gloucester City Police Department.
During his time as a patrol officer, he volunteered as a field training officer for new officers graduating from the academy and served as a hostage negotiator as well. During that time he also earned his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from St. Joseph's University.
Sgt. Ridge went on to serve as Detective, Detective Sergeant and Patrol Sergeant during the course of his career and retires as one of the most respected officers within the department. His character, integrity, and patience along with his willingness to help anyone provided an excellent example for younger officers to follow for many years. He will truly be missed.
