Students Placed In "Shelter In Place" As Result Of A Threat At Camden County Technical School

(CNBNews) GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ --February 25, 2015)At approximately 1:24 PM, the Gloucester Township Police received a report of a male student who had threatened harm to an ex-girlfriend who also was a student at the Camden County Technical School, Gloucester Township. At the time of the incident, the location of the suspect was unknown, and he was believed to be still in the school.
School Officials and Police initiated "Shelter In Place" security protocols, limiting movement of students and staff in the school, until the suspect was located. Police quickly located and took the suspect into custody, and released the "Shelter In Place" after approximately 10 minutes.
The threat to injure the female student was determined to be the result of a past domestic dating relationship, and it was determined that the students were not in any imminent danger. The incident is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Police Department, and no criminal charges have filed.
