Authorities Investigating Murder in Audubon

AUDUBON NEW JERSEY (January 31,2015)-- Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Audubon Police Chief Thomas Tassi reported a homicide in the borough Saturday.

Police were called around 2:55 a.m. to a residence on the 400 block of the South White Horse Pike in Audubon for a report of a man fatally shot.

Officers arrived at the location and found Steven Johnston, M/51, of Audubon, dead from apparent gunshot wounds in an upstairs apartment.

An adult male suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident at the scene. Detectives are questioning him at this time. Charges are pending the result of the investigation.
