WATCH: Christmas Eve 1914

The 2014 Christmas advert from Sainsbury’s supermarkets in the United Kingdom is inspired from events that took place during World War One a hundred years ago in 1914. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the fighting stopped for brief periods of time as both the Biritish and German soldiers took a moment to celebrate the Christmas holiday. The chocolate bar in the video is on sale at Sainsbury’s supermarkets with all profits being given to the The Royal British Legion.
