Obituary: Alexander F. DiPietro of Deptford

Legacy

Alexander was a hardworking man with traditional values. During WWII, he proudly served in the US Army as anti-aircraft gunner and was part of the Allied Invasion of Normandy. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Pennsylvania Railroad in 1946 and retired as a rail supervisor with Conrail of Pavonia Yard, Camden in 1981. Alexander enjoyed watching sports on TV and in earlier years, enjoyed bowling at Ivy and Maple Lanes.

 Family

He is the beloved husband of the late Teresa C. (nee Carey); devoted father of Phyllis Kareha (Rich), Stephen (Tricia) and Joseph (Terry) DiPietro; loving grandfather of Zachary, Amy, Kristin, Lauren, Dominic, Mark and Katie; also survived by his grand-dog, Scout.

 Farewell Service

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 8:30-9:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 AM in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick RC Church, Woodbury. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
