Kingsway Regional HS Transportation Supervisor Richard Costanzo Arrested on Theft Charges

WOODBURY NJ--Richard A. Costanzo (DOB 7/5/72) of Clayton NJ,  Supervisor of 6a00d8341bf7d953ef0148c6c954b0970c-800wiTransportation for  Kingsway Regional High School in Woolwich Twp. NJ,  was arrested Monday (10/27) on a charge of stealing funds from a state association of school transportation supervisors, of which he was secretary.

Following an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Costanzo was taken into custody by GCPO detectives at his Kingsway office.



The second-degree charge of theft by unlawful taking alleges that between August 2012 and September 2014, Costanzo unlawfully transferred $226,223 from the School Transportation Supervisors of New Jersey to his personal bank accounts.

Costanzo, a member of the state supervisors association since 1995 and formerly a Kingsway bus driver for 20 years, was initially placed in the Salem County Jail in default of $35,000 bail.  He has since posted bail and was released.

 

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
