The Sports Illustrated College Football Tailgate Tour 2014

Images-1NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Time Inc's Sports Illustrated and GoRVing have teamed up for the second consecutive year to produce a 10-city tour of college campuses and stadiums in celebration of two of America's great pastimes: Tailgating and RVing. The Sports Illustrated College Football Tailgate Tour presented by GoRVing launches Saturday, August 30 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas where the defending national champion and pre-season No. 1 team in America the Florida StateSeminoles face the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

An array of world-renowned chefs and football stars will make appearances at each tour stop where fans can talk food and football while getting ready for the big game. The first stop in Arlington will feature Super Bowl Champion (and inventor of the Lambeau Leap)LeRoy Butler alongside Iron Chef winner Kent Rathbun. Rathbun will be preparing his famous BBQ smoked ribs and potato salad.

Also on board for this year's tour include celebrated chefs Top Chef contestant Trey WilcoxFood & Wine's "Best New Chef" Kelly English and founder of CITY GRIT Sarah Simmons. Each chef will curate a menu tailored to each city to celebrate the tastes and flavors of the region. Joining them will be a collection of football greats such as Pro Football Hall of Fame member Jack Youngblood, former UCLA running back Kahlil Bell, Rashuan Woods, Mike Doss, Will Shields and Corey Miller. More chefs and football stars will be joining the tour throughout the season.

Anchoring the stop will be two tailgate-ready RVs. The Fleetwood Storm Game Day edition motorhome and the Keystone Bullet travel trailer will provide the backdrop and add to the party atmosphere.  The RV set-up includes large exterior TVs complete with soundbars and subwoofers, pull-out exterior tailgate bars, Weber grills, outdoor refrigerators and interior space with more TVs and comfy seating.  The events will feature tours of the RVs, as well as an online sweepstakes with the grand prize winner awarded a Fleetwood Storm motorhome.  Residents of the U.S. can follow the tour online to find exclusive recipes and demos from each acclaimed chef, tips and tricks on how to create the perfect tailgate party and a chance to enter the sweepstakes by visiting www.SI.com/tailgate.
