TIOGA (WPVI) --Two people, a 10-year-old child and an adult, were killed and another five people were injured after a carjacking led to a crash late Friday morning in the Tioga section of Philadelphia. One of those injured is also a child. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Germantown Avenue and West Allegheny.
Police say it began when a driver was carjacked at gunpoint by two men.
While the carjackers were fleeing the scene, police say the car hit a crowd of people.
At first, six people were injured. Five people were taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, while the child was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children in critical condition.
However, one of the adults has since died.
