South Jersey Business Scene: Free Webinar, Considering Divorce

Blackwood NJ, June 26, 2014-- Attorney Lynda Hinkle will be hosting a free webinar called, 6a00d8341bf7d953ef019b003971a5970d-500wi"Considering Divorce? The Steps You Need to Take Now." The webinar, which will be held on Wednesday, July 16 2014 at 12:30 pm, is free to the public.

Hinkle, author of the book, "Breaking Up: Finding and Working with a Divorce Attorney in New Jersey," has hosted live discussions on the topic before, but decided to try presenting the information in webinar form after she noticed that people were often reticent to participate in public presentations about divorce.

"Often, people who are contemplating divorce will feel uncomfortable about sharing their thoughts with others. It's a private and very personal decision, and one not many people want to make public until they've thought it through.

"The webinar format allows them to get the information they need about the subject, and the chance to talk to an actual, live attorney, without having to put in a personal appearance. As long as they have a computer and an internet connection, they can participate in the safety and privacy of their own home or office."

Hinkle will be discussing the divorce process from start to finish, and will explain how to file a petition for divorce, how to come to equitable terms regarding the distribution of property and assets, child custody arrangements, the various pre- and post-judgment motions that may take place, and how to protect oneself and one's children if the divorce becomes contentious.

"These are things that family lawyers deal with every day, but for most people they can be overwhelming, especially in the midst of the emotional turmoil that can accompany divorce," said Hinkle, "We think this is an effective way to reach people who need our help."

The talk will last about 20 minutes, with a Q&A session to follow. To participate in the webinar, people can simply send an e-mail with the subject line: "Divorce Webinar RSVP" (they need not supply any personal information) to [email protected], and they will be sent a link to the webinar.
