The Gloucester Township Police Department will be hosting its first ever Dog Walker Watch Event on Saturday June 28th from 1030AM- 1230PM at Timber Creek Dog Park located on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township.
Dog Walker Watch (DWW) is a crime awareness program sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) that encourages dog walkers nationwide to serve as “extra eyes and ears” for local law enforcement agencies. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of dog walkers throughout the community who are often preoccupied with texting, chatting, emailing, and phone calls during their neighborhood walks. Dog Walker Watch trains these individuals on how to effectively observe and report criminal activity.
Bring your family and pet-friendly dog to meet some adoptable dogs from the Camden County Animal Shelter and other local dog rescues. Also meet local dog trainers to help with questions about your dog. Mcgruff the Crime Dog ,Pet Valu,Petsmart and Target will also be on location supporting the event.
If you are interested in attending or have questions please email Community Relations Officer Jenn McLaughlin at [email protected] or call 374-5712
